I arrived in Las Vegas this afternoon for the Blogworld Expo. It is the blogging conference of the year and has some seriously high profile bloggers presenting as well as exhibiting.
Blogworld was a conference that I asked the Windows Live team to participate in because I knew that it was THE OPPORTUNITY to showcase the amazing capabilities of Windows Live Writer to the larger blogging community. Wow was I right… and the show hasn’t even started.
It took me 6 hours today to set up the Windows Live booth because I was constantly interrupted by the other exhibitors who kept coming over asking me either:
- What is Windows Live Writer? (A: The best blogging tool ever that works on every blogging platform…)
- Is it out of beta yet? (A: As of yesterday it was out of beta — so come get the full release)
- I hear that Windows Live Writer is the reason for me to run parallels on my Mac, is that true? (A: Yes. There is no other product like it out there.)
- Where can they get it? (A: http://writer.live.com — take a Live Writer brochure please)
The common response: "WOW".
I must have already talked with 150 people and there are going to be thousands more there over the next two days. Plus, I get to present on the exhibitor stage, so that will be fun.
